Seeing a warning, or the antivirus removed the file?

That is normal for a new app. Browsers and Windows show it for any program that is not yet downloaded by many people. SIYATAL Online is safe – it only talks to Tally on your PC and to siyatal.com. Follow the steps for your browser:

  2. If Chrome asks again, click Download anyway / Keep.
  3. Open SIYATAL.exe from the downloads list.

  1. Point at the download and click ••• (more), then Keep.
  2. Click Show more → Keep anyway.
  3. Open SIYATAL.exe.

Antivirus Quick Heal (or another antivirus) removed the file

RestoreAdd to exclusion
  1. Open your antivirus → Quarantine (Quick Heal: Quarantine and Backup), select SIYATAL.exe → Restore.
  2. Add the SIYATAL-Online folder to the antivirus Exclusions (Quick Heal: Settings → Exclude Files & Folders).
  3. Open SIYATAL.exe again.

New programs are sometimes flagged by mistake (a “false positive”). SIYATAL Online only reads Tally on your PC and talks to siyatal.com.

Set up in 3 minutes

    Download and open

    Right-click the ZIP → Extract All (for example to Documents), then open SIYATAL.exe. No installation or admin rights needed. Tick Start with Windows in the app if you like.

    Log in

    Use your siyatal.com e-mail and password. New here? Create an account – it takes a minute.

    Add the TDL to Tally

    The ZIP has a Tally TDL folder with SIYATAL-Tally-Online.tdl and a step-by-step guide. In TallyPrime: F1 → TDLs & Add-Ons → F4 Manage Local TDLs, add the file path. SIYATAL Online then appears on the Gateway of Tally. TDL only (2 KB)

One click from Tally

Click SIYATAL Online on the Gateway of Tally. The open company is uploaded and the link is copied for you.

Only changes are sent

After the first upload, only new and edited vouchers are read, so updates take seconds.

Link only, or with password

Choose per company: anyone with the link can view, or the link also asks for a password.

Up to 5 companies

Keep up to 5 companies online. A new upload replaces the old data – the link stays the same.

View-only and encrypted

Reports open like Tally (Gateway, Enter to drill down, Esc to go back), but nothing can be changed.

Your links are also in My account on siyatal.com – open, copy or remove them there.

Add SIYATAL Online to Tally (TDL)

The TDL adds SIYATAL Online (upload & copy link) to the Gateway of Tally. It is included in the app ZIP (folder Tally TDL), or download it on its own.

TallyPrime

  1. Extract the ZIP to a fixed folder, e.g. C:\SIYATAL-Online.
  2. In TallyPrime press F1 (Help) → TDLs & Add-Ons → F4 Manage Local TDLs.
  3. Set Load TDL files on startup to Yes.
  4. In List of TDL files to preload enter the path of SIYATAL-Tally-Online.tdl, e.g. C:\SIYATAL-Online\Tally TDL\SIYATAL-Tally-Online.tdl.
  5. Save with Ctrl+A. Status shows Loaded.

Tally.ERP 9

Gateway → F12 Configure → Product & Features → F4 Manage Local TDLs, then the same steps.

Tally must allow connections: F1 → Settings → Connectivity → Client/Server: acts as Both, Port 9000. Keep the SIYATAL Online app running.

Chrome or Windows warns about the file. Is it safe?

Yes. New apps show this until many people have downloaded them. See how to open it – in short: Chrome → Download suspicious file, Windows → More info → Run anyway. The app only talks to your Tally on this PC and to siyatal.com.

Tally says it cannot connect / “Tally is not running”

In TallyPrime press F1 (Help) → Settings → Connectivity → Client/Server configuration, set TallyPrime acts as to Both (or Server) and Port to 9000, then restart Tally.

Does my data leave my PC?

Only the reports you upload, and they are stored encrypted. You can remove a company any time from the app or from My account – its link stops working immediately.

Can I ask Tally to upload when I close it?

Yes – it is built into SIYATAL-Tally-Online.tdl. When you press Esc on the Gateway of Tally to close it, SIYATAL first asks whether to upload the latest data; then Tally’s own Quit? closes Tally.
